Each course offers certification from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI) with training approved by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) - four of the most respected names in injury, illness, and emergency medical care.
 
A certification card is presented immediately upon successful course completion. ECSI cards are accepted and recognized by employers, government agencies, and other organizations throughout the U.S. and in many other countries.
 
The following courses are just some of the ones available in-person and online:
 
Standard First Aid/CPR/AED
This course provides the lowest cost way to obtain certification for First Aid and CPR/AED in one class that takes 4 to 5 hours to complete, including testing. Upon successful completion each student is immediately provided with a certification card for both Standard First Aid as well as CPR/AED. Cost: $32.59
Standard First Aid
It's better to know first aid and not need it than to need it and not know it. Everyone should be able to perform first aid, since most people will eventually find themselves in a situation requiring it, either for another person or for themselves. Upon successful completion each student is immediately provided with a certification card for Standard First Aid. Cost: $19.59

Standard CPR and AED
This course is updated and revised to include the 2005 guidelines for cardiovascular resuscitation (CPR) and emergency cardiovascular care (ECC), the course integrates the training of CPR and AED into one simple program. Upon successful completion each student is immediately provided with a certification card for Standard CPR and AED. Cost: $19.59
Sports First Aid and Injury Prevention
When athletes become ill or injured during practice or competition, coaches need to know how to respond. This course can be conducted in conjunction with the Standard First Aid course, or it can be conducted as a stand-alone course. Upon successful completion each student is immediately provided with a certification card for Sports First Aid and Injury Perventon. Cost: $10 for non-profit youth sports groups.
Wilderness First Aid: Emergency Care for Remote Locations
This course provides information on how to handle common injuries and illnesses when medical care is an hour away or more. This comprehensive course teaches what to look for and what to do in the event of an emergency and medical help is significantly delayed. Upon successful completion each student is immediately provided with a certification card for the level of the course taken. Cost of manual, card and Basic WFA Course (8 hours) $80 ($40 for non-profit volunteers); Standard WFA Course (16 hours) $120 ($80 for non-profit volunteers); Advanced WFA Course (40 hours) $240 ($160 for non-profit volunteers). The BSA Wilderness First Aid 16-hour course is $40 for registered BSA leaders and youth, and included First Aid/CPR/AED. There may be an additional charge for supplies and manual.
BLAST! (Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training)
BLAST, is an important training program for potential babysitters and parents considering hiring a babysitter. The BLAST! program is exciting and interactive, providing extensive training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. The course includes the most current practices for safety and injury prevention while babysitting, First Aid basics for emergency response, and a quick reference booklet for babysitters to keep with them. Certification is provided upon successful completion. Many potential babysitters take this course so they can get more sitting jobs, and command a higher rate of pay. Many parents pay their sitters to take this course to insure a higher standard of care for their children. Cost: $5
Bloodborne Pathogens
Worldwide, workers in health care related fields are at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, such as the HIV virus and hepatitis B virus. Designed to meet the current OSHA training requirements, Bloodborne Pathogens was created for students and employees who have potential for occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, and even has supplemental information on airborne pathogens such as tuberculosis. Cost: $19.59
Pet First Aid
The Pet First Aid & Disaster Response Guide is designed to help pet owners provide temporary, urgent care to pets until they can reach a veterinary or emergency clinic. The course includes Injury prevention and disaster preparation, personal safety precautions, and a wide array of pet emergencies including bleeding, bite wounds, cardiac arrest, choking, burns, poisoning, trauma, and more. Cost: $19.59
Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers and Teachers
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is pleased to bring you Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers and Teachers (PedFACTs), a national pediatric first aid course. The PedFACTs course is designed to give caregivers and teachers the education and confidence that they need to care effectively for sick or injured children. The manual includes an appendix that specifically addresses common childhood illnesses. Cost: $19.59
