Saving Money for Volunteers and Non-profits
Churches, ministries, youth groups, community organizations, sports programs, and other non-profits all have volunteers who should not have to pay a lot of money to obtain first aid and other training needed to serve in those volunteer positions.
Low-cost First Aid and Smoking Cessation Courses
for Members of Non-profit Groups
The Association for Health and Wellness, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing first aid certification courses, along with smoking cessation instructor training to high school students and the volunteers and members of non-profit organizations to help to save lives.
We train volunteer instructors who then provide nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR/AED, Sports Injury Prevention and
First Aid, Wilderness First Aid and other related courses at a
cost of only $5 to $10 per certification, as well as smoking cessation for free in their local community as a public service. Classes are available for members, volunteers, and leaders of non-profit groups, such as churches, Scouts, community organizations, and youth sports programs.
Certification Cards
Each
course offers certification from the Emergency Care and Safety
Institute with training approved by the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American
Academy of Pediatrics, and the Wilderness Medical
Society - four of the most respected names in injury,
illness, and emergency medical care. A nationally recognized
certification card is presented immediately at the end of the class
upon successfull completion.
Online and In-person Training
Courses
are available online and in-person. The online classes provide
convenience, and the in-person training and skills demonstration allow
for interaction with the instructor and other participants. Online
courses require a brief visit to a live class for skills demonstration
in order to qualify for a certification card.
Free Smoking Cessation Instruction
Our
network of volunteer instructors teach individuals how to turn off the
longing for a cigarette so they can easily quit smoking. There is no
cost for the class. Our instructors are volunteers from various church and non-profit
organizations who want to provide this free community service without
regard to creed or religion. We have volunteer instructors throughout
the U.S. and in many international locations.
How to Become an Instructor
The
Association for Health and Wellness is a non-profit organization
working with instructors who want to make difference in the lives
of the people in their local communities.
Non-profit
groups and faith-based organizations are encouraged to ask some of
their members to become trained as certified instructors who can then
teach the other members of their organization, and the public. Your
instructors work as volunteers to help your organization serve the local community.
